Things can change and life can get better. I’ve learned that when you are feeling sad, overwhelmed, or depressed you can find help to change things for the better. My own experience with depression led me to counseling over 20 years ago.
Today, the most important message that I can deliver is to tell anyone who is sad, overwhelmed, or depressed…”I understand. I’ve been there. I know things can change for the better in your life.”
Hello, my name is Heather Hampton, and I am a counselor with a Masters in Counseling and a Bachelor’s of Science in Behavioral Health. I am licensed in Missouri as a PLPC. I am a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor currently under the Supervision of My Family Counseling’s own Jamie Morgan, LPC. I work effectively with issues surrounding recovery, major upheavals, partner conflicts, parenting, and life transitions as well as many other life issues. My approach is integrative, using theories and techniques that are focused on your unique situation, and working to uncover and support your strengths.
I have come to see that what is in our past, can impact our current personal and professional lives. Our life can fall out of balance, and our emotions of sadness, anger, and anxiety can increase dramatically. I believe that by working together, we can achieve holistic healing. We can bring your life back into balance, achieving essential person insights and self-actualization.
The two of us together will work to overcome difficult obstacles, resolve distressing issues, calm your anxiety, alleviate depression, and heighten your self-awareness.
We will be guided by your goals, those that you have in mind for yourself. We will work to achieve those goals, to make positive differences in relationships, career, communication, or healing.
Please contact me to take your first step toward the two of us together, bringing a happier more peaceful life to you.
