As a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) practicing under the supervision of Jamie Morgan, LPC-S, I work with adolescents and adults who are navigating difficult seasons, feeling stuck in unhealthy patterns, or simply recognizing that something in their life needs to change. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where clients can speak openly, gain a clearer understanding of what they are experiencing, and develop practical tools to move forward.
I work with clients ages 13 to 65 and have experience supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, substance use and addiction, recovery, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and other challenges that can interfere with everyday life. I understand that people often come to counseling when what they have been doing is no longer working, and asking for help can feel uncomfortable. Counseling does not have to be intimidating. It can be a place to slow things down, make sense of what is happening, and determine what needs to change.
My counseling style is primarily person-centered and solution-focused. I believe effective counseling is collaborative: my role is not to tell you how to live your life, but to help you better understand yourself, identify your strengths and available choices, and develop strategies that move you toward the life you want to create. Together, we will explore what matters most to you, identify obstacles that may be keeping you stuck, establish meaningful goals, and work toward practical, sustainable change.
I strive to meet each client with compassion, curiosity, honesty, and respect. You will not be reduced to a diagnosis or defined by the challenges that brought you into counseling. Those challenges are part of your experience, but they do not have to become your identity. I want clients to leave counseling with greater clarity, confidence, and an increased ability to handle the circumstances they face.
Whether you are struggling with emotional distress, working toward recovery, adjusting to a major life change, or simply know that you want something different for yourself, you do not have to figure it all out alone. I would be honored to work alongside you as you identify where you are, determine where you want to go, and begin taking meaningful steps toward getting there.
